BUSY BEE!

Sorry I haven't posted in like what....2 days! usually I post spastically its just because this week has been crazy with school assignments designing this dress for class and my technical drawing class equals madness But I promise you this week I'm living pretty much under a rock and posting all week because I got a couple of magazines A COUPLE OF GREAT MAGAZINES! I think I spend too much on magazines but its because US Magazines to excite me anymore maybe a few good pictorials and thats it but I've officially gone International when It comes to fashion journalism, layout placement, cover stories, pictorials, etc So this time around I got these!:

(Paris Vogue, Brittish Elle Fall 2009 Collections, US Harpers Bazaar, and US Elle)
I've skimmed through them all but this weekend I'll actually sit down and actually read through the whole thing I-CAN-NOT-WAIT! and I just had to get the very blogworthy issue of Paris Vogue August 2009 issue! in the magazine fashion editors and stylists and photographers of the magazine paid homage to alot of famous designers and icons (BLONDIE!) and I JUST HAD TO GET IT I only own 2 Paris Vogue's the one with Laura Stone and this August issue but I can not wait and I will be scanning pictures of the editorials that I find inspiring and alot of pictures because I've been seeing on the poll that I put up that you guys want to see more fashion editorial stuff so i'll post it

IMPORTED SNACKS & MAGAZINES

(dont mind my hair thingy lol)
While I was in my local georcery store I was searching for this diet tea that my hairstlist had mentioned to me since we ALWAYS discuss on losing weight. So while I was on my search for it I came across this, and the funny thing is that I never knew that there was an "imported goods" section in that store lol (you learn/see something new everyday!) and I cam across Ahmad Tea Evening Tea and thought to myself I should try it! I don't know if this is "real" English tea but I decided to try it out! if anyone knows any really good English Tea brands please let me know!
im having a cup as I post this!
I found these! lol they remind me of the gummy candy we have here! I tasted some they're pretty good
For as of all the magazines, I'm going to read them tonight and write an review post tomorrow or later on tonight! (+ scans of inside the magazines if anyone wants them? let me know in a comment)

Lately. I've been really inspired by Mens Fashion the structured tailoring of it ALL. I don't think I could ever see myself designing just Mens Wear but I'm really just falling in love with male models, the certain play in Diversity now a days when It comes to Male Vs Female in styling aka "what women should wear, and what boys should wear" type of deal,  do you get what I'm saying? I guess you can say the whole build of the male in general im intrigued by
(remember that this V Man Mag has Ashley Olsen in it!)

The last MISSBEHAVE....RIP...The only reason why I bought this was because this is the last one to complete my collection of Missbehaves (the only one I don't have is the very first one with Nelly Furtado on the cover)...and PLUS Jeremy Scott's Spring 2009 collection was featured through out the whole magazine!!

this will by mine by July

MARGIELA IS LEAVING HIS LABEL :(

Before Maison Martin Margiela's fall 2009 show, the house revealed that Margiela himself was no longer truly head of design. Instead, he had taken on a part-time consulting role. "The team is more Margiela than him,” label CEO Giovanni Pungetti said in March. However, as the spring 2010 shows draw closer, new rumors are circulating that Margiela is out at the house for good. A member of the Margiela design team told JC Report, "He has not been present since last season." The JC Report says Margiela is unhappy with the direction his label has taken under Diesel, which acquired the brand in 2002.

For me this is very sad...I hope that to whom ever runs the label does a great job!...

AT HOME WITH YSL...

So I'm home this saturday(like always now adays?) ughh and I'm feeling like a wild cat ready to escape from a cage or SOMETHING! I just wanna go out and go to a party and dance! (and that is so unlike me) I never dance...but I guess its just one of those nights...but theres no way I'm going anywhere tonight without a car and some money :(
So I decided I'll just stay in and listen to hard core 80s Rock and read the YSL Style book...Which if you havent seen it yet it is a an amazing book! with great inspirational quotes and his career as well! Where below are some of my favorite pieces/sketches of Mr. Yves Saint Laurent!

mind process

Sometimes I hate when I get creative & inspired at the same time late at night(but its the best) my state of mind goes crazy and I start to process all these things at once into one collective image or form. Ever since I seen Gareth Pughs Mens Spring 2009 collection I've had images in mind about the hair and also the clothes but my mindset more focused on the hair. So I've made an inspiration board of all the things that the collection reminded me of. By the way most of my time these days I've been spending my time looking at the Mens Style website I love makeup on boys and watching them getting their hair done like the girls do (art)

play by play:
·Koi Fish have always been a thing that I loved, the history the entire form and beauty of the fish itself is ravishing
·the t-shirt which was random I found it somewhere I want to recreate this t-shirt with my own spin on it (when i get the money to do so)
· the word "cahoots" ca·hoots (kə-hōōts') Questionable collaboration; secret partnership: an accountant in cahoots with organized crime.
---Why I put this word on my inspiration board? I think its a funny word and plus its kind of relevant to this picture(above) so I just put it in there. Its funny to say it too because no one really uses that word (well the people I know don't)
·Ok! the last post I made about Jethro Cave...okay now I see why everyone is posting about him hes HOT! lol hes so cute in a dark kind of way
· fishtail/fishbone braid reminded me of the hair for GP S/2009 collection

p.s tell me if you like when I make these inspiration boards/pictures I know I've been doing them for a while, but I wonder if people actually get inspired by them??? I don't know BLAH!

INSPIRATION BOARD: THE POWER U

Lately I've been having this look in my head a very 60s inspired Yves Saint Luarent Power Suit or Le Smoking suit that I have in my mind a very Elvis Costello demeanor with feminine featuring. I'm loving the Mod 60's inspired bowl cut wigs. My biggest inspiration for this board is Katerine Hepburn in all her divenity is a beautiful woman shes one of the main women that has changed fashion history as in back in the 30s-40s changed what women should wear(as in dresses). I'm inlove with very Constructed pieces almost "stiff" looking garments I LOVE it!
