BUSY BEE!

Sorry I haven't posted in like what....2 days! usually I post spastically its just because this week has been crazy with school assignments designing this dress for class and my technical drawing class equals madness But I promise you this week I'm living pretty much under a rock and posting all week because I got a couple of magazines A COUPLE OF GREAT MAGAZINES! I think I spend too much on magazines but its because US Magazines to excite me anymore maybe a few good pictorials and thats it but I've officially gone International when It comes to fashion journalism, layout placement, cover stories, pictorials,etc So this time around I got these!:

(Paris Vogue, Brittish Elle Fall 2009 Collections, US Harpers Bazaar, and US Elle)
I've skimmed through them all but this weekend I'll actually sit down and actually read through the whole thing I-CAN-NOT-WAIT! and I just had to get the very blogworthy issue of Paris Vogue August 2009 issue! in the magazine fashion editors and stylists and photographers of the magazine paid homage to alot of famous designers and icons (BLONDIE!) and I JUST HAD TO GET IT I only own 2 Paris Vogue's the one with Laura Stone and this August issue but I can not wait and I will be scanning pictures of the editorials that I find inspiring and alot of pictures because I've been seeing on the poll that I put up that you guys want to see more fashion editorial stuff so i'll post it

IMPORTED SNACKS & MAGAZINES

While I was in my local georcery store I was searching for this diet tea that my hairstlist had mentioned to me since we ALWAYS discuss on losing weight. So while I was on my search for it I came across this, and the funny thing is that I never knew that there was an "imported goods" section in that store lol (you learn/see something new everyday!) and I cam across Ahmad Tea Evening Tea and thought to myself I should try it! I don't know if this is "real" English tea but I decided to try it out! if anyone knows any really good English Tea brands please let me know!

I found these! lol they remind me of the gummy candy we have here! I tasted some they're pretty good

For as of all the magazines, I'm going to read them tonight and write an review post tomorrow or later on tonight! (+ scans of inside the magazines if anyone wants them? let me know in a comment)

Lately. I've been really inspired by Mens Fashion the structured tailoring of it ALL. I don't think I could ever see myself designing just Mens Wear but I'm really just falling in love with male models, the certain play in Diversity now a days when It comes to Male Vs Female in styling aka "what women should wear, and what boys should wear" type of deal,  do you get what I'm saying? I guess you can say the whole build of the male in general im intrigued by

(remember that this V Man Mag has Ashley Olsen in it!) 

The last MISSBEHAVE....RIP...The only reason why I bought this was because this is the last one to complete my collection of Missbehaves (the only one I don't have is the very first one with Nelly Furtado on the cover)...and PLUS Jeremy Scott's Spring 2009 collection was featured through out the whole magazine!!

AT HOME WITH YSL...

So I'm home this saturday(like always now adays?) ughh and I'm feeling like a wild cat ready to escape from a cage or SOMETHING! I just wanna go out and go to a party and dance! (and that is so unlike me) I never dance...but I guess its just one of those nights...but theres no way I'm going anywhere tonight without a car and some money :(
So I decided I'll just stay in and listen to hard core 80s Rock and read the YSL Style book...Which if you havent seen it yet it is a an amazing book! with great inspirational quotes and his career as well! Where below are some of my favorite pieces/sketches of Mr. Yves Saint Laurent!

RE-VOGUE'ING IT! / i-D AWANG!

Okay so Friday night I decided that I was going to declutter my room and put up some of my more recent magazines in my storage bins that I keep underneath my bed so they can be 'preserved' like mummies lol. So as I'm making room I think to myself why in the hell do I have all these tabloid magazines like (Life&Style,People,OK!,etc) and then I think back on 2006 2007 when I was on my 'nicole richie thin' faze hahaha but anywho thats besides the point I cleared out alot of Teen Vogues,Complex,GQ, and others as well that no longer served interest to me anymore. So I look at these 3 big ass Vogue magazines that I have at the bottom of this bin and If you didn't know before let me tell you now. Me and Vogue never have gotten along...I never found an interest in Vogue really to an instant to where I HAVE to buy them every month (like ELLE UK AHEMMM!! lol) but yeah like the pictures you see above Its like the 700 something pages of Vogue so I randomly flip through the pages and a few things catch my eye so I decide to go through page by page looking at every picture and I realize....WHAT IN THE HELL HAVE I BEEN MISSING ALL OF MY LIFE! I see that Vogue has a great way of styling great clothes &I seen things that I was actually interested in...(and I know this magazine is from 06 but it was still inspiring!)

I HAVE TO DO THIS IN ALL CAPS TO EXPRESS HOW EXCITED I WAS WHEN I GOT THIS MONTHS ISSUE OF i-D MAGAZINE!
ALEXANDER WANG WAS FEATURED IN IT THIS MONTH! AND MY HEART JUST MELTED! I diddnt really feel like taking pictures of the other pictures that featured his clothes & models that reminise on the first time they've met A.W or wore his clothes because my camera is acting shitty... so sorry!

BUY THE BOOK!

Trip to my fav store

Okay, today I went to one of my favorite stores(Barns & Noble Book store) and I had intentions of spending no more than 20$ on magazines. Doing my monthly magazine run, and to come to find out that Octobers magazines are still on the shelves! I was so pissed this is the second time I went there and those old ass magazines are still on the shelves! ARRGGG. Buying my magazines aren't cheap either because I've learned that I don't really like US magazines...well it matters who's on the cover but half of the time its really shitty so I buy UK magazines because their so much better to read,the journalism,editorials,better cover stories UK ELLE is one of my most favorite magazines that I JUST HAVE TO GET and for me to buy it here in the US and it being printed in the UK its going to cost some money honey! so I pay 8$ + tax and then I buy i-D magazine and that's 10$+
Then also when I was in the store I just HAD to go and see the Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen Book Influence and I fell inlove! But I just had to glance through it instead of buying it because I was NOT going to spend 35$ today when I really wanted Chinese food later on (lol) But I put it on hold! :)

This must have been sent from the fashion gods....One magazine left...beautiful model on the cover...with gold foil writing on the front...printed in England...Plastique Magazine Explosive Fashion! I-AM-IN-LOVE! I flipped through the magazine only to have instantly have fallen in love! I'm shocked...this was the last one and everyone knows I hate getting the magazine in front the one that EVERYONE has touched so I was a little nervous about getting it but I HAD TO! I love this magazine I haven't really got to read the articles yet but I cant wait! and then tomorrow I'll try to take pictures and tell you guys about some of the articles! (+I seen an article about Yves Saint Laurent! YAY! I CANT WAIT!)
