ON MY MIND/PAST COLLECTIONS: CHRISTIAN DIOR F/ 2009 MAKEUP

Sorry! I've been so close minded with you guys on not sharing most of whats been "on my mind" or really discussing anything thats been inspiring me as of late in depth. But honestly to tell the truth my brain has been 50 percent army green colored parkas and trying to configure out the pattern pieces to make one for myself this fall and the other 50 percent has been 1920s hair and makeup and researching a ~~little~~ a lot on that...and not that I've been wanted to some how clash both of those two things together (...only now once that I actually think about it doesn't sound like a bad idea...hmmm! I'll save that for later!).

MACBOOK PRO
I've really been wanting to buy a new macbook its not like I need one but the macbook I have now is running out of space and I really would like to have a macbook pro for the future for future projects and etc. I've been eyeing the beautiful 15" macbook pro! So hopefully I'll be getting that soon

IPHONE 4
Apple has released its new Iphone!!! Iphone 4! Even though I just bought my iphone in April I really want the new iphone! But I think I can hold off for a while I'm not that hesitant on getting the phone as soon as possible but I know its going to be awesome!

FUTURE PLANS SHOE DESIGN DIRECTING FASHION FILMS?
All of you who know me or speak to me know that I've created a fond love for shoes and I was just thinking sometime in the near future most likely after I graduate from college I want to look into shoe designing classes and also directing fashion short films or fashion stories or something in the field of that sort of business recently like since last year I've been writing alot of fashion short films I've been doing this more than designing which kind of scares me a little because I honestly don't know what my profession is I want to be a jack of all trades I want to do it all I want to have my hand in it all. Some of the things that inspired me to want to do this was some of the Rodarte short films

AND NOW FOR THE BIG DRUMROLL!!

I am officially in the works of being a writer/contributor to GRUNGECAKE MAGAZINE!! I'm so excited and happy to be apart of something independent and creative I cant wait to help grow with the magazine and expand its readers!! Yams who is the founder of the magazine I've been knowing her for quite some time now and remember when she was first starting the magazine from the ground and now to see her doing all of these things is amazing! I admire her so much I cant wait to be apart of the mag! I really wished I lived in New York so that I can really contribute to the magazine how I would like to but hey! I happy to contribute to GRUNGECAKE in any way possible! ON MY MIND: PURPLE LIPSTICK + DIY SILK SCREEN? + GOOD OLE AMERICAN ART + FINAL PROJECTS!

So lately (does it seem like lately/all the time I start my sentences off saying "So lately...." hahaha) I really do! But honestly It seems like lately I've been into purple things and lipsticks! I really want to buy a couple! I have a few MAC shades in mind that I've been eyeing for a couple of weeks. If you've been reading this blog for the last couple of weeks you've seen when I made the 'everything blue' post and now I'm in love with 'everything purple' lol I guess I'm going through my color phases But now I'm really into everything purple (hence my on my mind post)

Hole 'Live Through This' album I've been tweeting on and on and writing #nowplaying tweets for months about this album even though it is from the 90s Its still amazing! every time I listen to it I feel bad ass like I can take over the world! I feel empowered! If you don't know who Hole is Its Courtney Loves' band :) LISTEN TO IT NOW!

So the quarter is almost up at my school is almost over theres 3 weeks left and final projects are coming into effect! With my Pattern Making class in mind I am so excited to be able to make my own pattern from scratch and design my own outfit! (and If your not really familiar with what pattern making is heres a little information about it!) Ok! So the assignment is to make a pattern and also design something that interprets an fine artist/any artist through actual fabric! I have a few things in mind but If I'm able to actually pull this through I will definetly show it on here! because I'm so excited! Just a little hint I'm trying to use an image from this book and interpret it into an outfit (this book is amazing by the way)

ON MY MIND: PS FALL 2010 + ISLAMIC ART + CALLIGRAPHY +ALEXANDER MCQUEEN MEN F/2010

Today in my Creative Geometry class we learned more about tessellation's and watched a video on Islamic art and how the artists built mosques out of geometric tessellation's and patterns, and in your everyday life you wouldn't think that the art history would some how relate to math when you first look at it but it does! The Islamic culture was either not aloud to draw people or other graphic things in their art so they decided to create these geometric designs and have them repeat themselves for as long as they wanted to on a building or whatever they were drawing. (Correct me if I'm incorrect). With me being so passionate about art and everything seeing this film in my GEOMETRY class out of everything made me some what appreciate math...because everyone who knows me knows that I strongly dislike math
