Okay when I was 17 my mom told me the story about my name and how she wanted me to come out looking she told me that when her and my dad were dating they went to go see one of my fav films by Spike Lee Do The Right Thing and she told my dad that she wanted me to come out looking like one of the girls in the movie her(below)

and I cant seem to figure out her name in the movie or her real name. But my mom said to my dad "I want my baby to look like her only dark skinned" and I look at that movie everytime and say to myself I don't really look like her but then I do?...and then whats also weird in this movie is that theirs this little girl in the movie that's playing with chalk and she wrote a name and it says 'Lana' its not my full name(Alannah) but it was weird because everyone calls me that in this screen cap you can kind of see it but you have to watch the movie if you cant really tell because of her leg is in the way

its crazy because she said that she named me after this singer that she liked named Alannah Miles but I don't know I tried to get into her music, but ehhh

Okay, last night since I kind of 'revamped' the look of my blog a little bit if you can tell? and I was checking all of my fashion based blogs and I'm going to try and make a commitment to actually go to New York fashion week next year and also go to Paris/London fashion week also. I really want to get in there and be in it and actually see it instead of having to see all of it on style.com. So that's another goal of mines.
I've been having weird dreams latley...

AM I GOING INSANE OR?...
or is it that beyonces new videos(single ladies and if I were a boy) are fucking non-stop on repeat on every MTV BET channel right now? and also...is everyone STILL playing M.I.A.'s song/video "paper planes" also??!! please stop it! I love both ladies but shit your driving me mad!!!!!

Beautiful It Is

As I'm up on my desktop computer, I'm surprised and amazed that I'm still awake at now 5:15 AM...But I'm all good because on tv, on the sundance channel a documentary called Marc Jacobs & Louis Vuitton, and it is inspiring yesterday my friend Helen inspired me so much she said to me (not word for word) "were young and beautiful and talented we need to get motivated and do this stuff now!" I never really talked to her on the phone but we had to talk 'business!' lol shes going to be a model and I'm going to be a fashion designer so that goes hand in hand and I think its beautiful! She can be my model when I start designing my own clothes I cant wait!

But back to the documentary, Marc is such an inspiration! I didn't know at such an early age at 20 he became creative director of Louis Vuitton by Yves Carcelle who bought out Louis Vuitton in 1989 *(I think). I find that SO amazing and inspiring! That pushes me to follow my dreams and do what I want to do in life, that is my ultimate dream and the people who travel with me on that road to hopefully build an empire!

+also a little fun fact if you diddnt know Marc Jacobs created the style 'GRUNGE' did you know?
