FALL 2009 REVIEW: Sefano Pilati...

Okay, today I get an email telling me all the designers that just had their shows, and the one that catches my eye is of course the label in capitols  YVES SAINT LAURENT...praying to fashion gods that Stefano Pilati has used an actual color pallet in his collection this season (even though it is fall!)
WHICH HE DIDDNT!

I wont even say Yves Saint Laurent...Because theres probably someone a little(alot) more creative out there to spice up the Brand with Color...I'm not even going to post pictures(like I did with the other collections) of the YSL fall collection he did...Its just THAT BAD to me...nothing has changed...that same neutral pallet black, white, gray pallet that he uses all the ALL THE TIME for the last 7 seasons now...Fall 2008 I fell in love with his collection (if you read this blog you should know how I went goo goo gaga over the shoes and the sequenced harem pants) but after that collection It was a downhill spiral for me...

MAYBE I'm just making a fuss for no reason because black is always chic but I like to see diversity...and there isn't any the same harem pants...blouses...the very constructed garments...which is getting old with YSL...didn't Monsieur Laurent say himself:

"the naked  body of a woman, whom I have to dress without curbing the freedom of her natural movements. In short,my profession is the loving dialogue of this naked woman with all the magic spells of the wrapping of my fabrics" -Yves Saint Laurent

"all my dresses originate with a gesture. A dress that does not reflect or does not make one think of a gesture  in question has been found, then one can choose the color, the final shape the fabrics, but not before. In reality, one never stops learning in the profession" -Yves Saint Laurent (1993)
Mr Pilati lets keep it that your designing with women in mind... and thats how Mr. Laurent would've wanted it to stay...I get how he was inspired by sort of futuristic matrix, dominatrix collection fall 2008 but women have curves and this is not showing off the female curves at all...

MAYBE IM OVER REACTING? AND DEEP DOWN INSIDE IM LOVING IT!?
Maybe if I see it styled in different magazines or something...I don't know but as of right now I'm-not-liking-it-at-all...

ANY THOUGHTS? COMMENT PLEASE! TELL ME IM NOT THE ONLY ONE?

you're def not the only one. i wasn't inspired by ysl this season. i feel most people will be, just because the name has already been highly established.
