Here's a big Kelis album update with some brand new info from a recent interview she did, as well as some old stuff that you may not already know.
Kelis is currently working on two new studio albums which are set for release later this year. One will be a “sit-down-dinner-party record” produced by Raphael Saadiq, and the other is a “fun dark electronic dance record.”
Alternative indie-electronica artist Patrick Wolf is currently writing and producing some songs for the dance record, a sound which he described on his Twitter as "fireworks".
Also working on the dance record is will.i.am, David Guetta, Diplo & Switch, Jean Baptiste, Boyz Noize, The Crookers, and Pharrell Williams of The Neptunes.
In case you don't know, Boyz Noize recently produced "Simple Little Melody" from the Black Eyed Peas latest album, and David Guetta produced their #1 hit "I Gotta Feeling". Diplo & Switch have produced a lot of music for M.I.A. and Santigold, and The Crookers recently gained a lot of success from remixing Kid Cudi's "Day & Night".
Kelis' publicist has also come out recently and stated that the new album is the singers "best work to date". A tentative release date has also been chosen but so far has yet to be announced. Kelis is due to give birth later this month.
